Jet Propulsion Laboratory Wants You!

This position is still open to folks willing to work part time at JPL.

Join the leader in Space Exploration; we currently have a need for part-time student employees to work with our Library, Archives and Records Section

In this role you will:
  • Support the Library, Archives and Records Section by: shelving books and periodicals
  • Serve at the public service desks
  • Update archives, library and records databases
  • Prepare reports and maintain on-site collections
  • Pack and unpack boxes of books, sort them and maneuver large carts of bound volumes
  • Assist with other library and clerical duties
We are looking for:
  • Current students with a G.P.A of 2.8 or better, enrolled at a local college or university (Sophomore, Junior or Senior; all majors welcome)
  • Familiarity with desktop applications such as the MS Office Suite
  • The ability to perform tasks with a high level of detail accuracy and follow through
  • Self-starters who take the initiative to complete assignments
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Someone who likes working with the public and in a team environment
Additional skills:
  • Some experience using online library systems
  • Work experience
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
