Pasadena Public Library Needs A Technical Specialist

This is a bit more information on the City of Pasadena Library job position. It is 20 hours a week part time position and the salary range is $17.93 - $23.48 an hour

• Serves library patrons at the library's public service desk using a wide variety of library electronic and print reference sources;
  
• responds to library customer needs on the phone, in person, and in writing;
• locates books for patrons; assists with or provides orientations, programs and outreach activities for all ages, including class visits and preschool story times; assists in collection development;
• may be responsible for branch operations in the absence of a librarian, including opening and closing facilities;
  
• creates and maintains computerized files, databases and directories; inputs data into databases;
  
• interprets and applies policies, practices and procedures;may assign,direct and review the work of other staff and/or train and supervise staff.
